Why is this Site Named for a Mountain Range?
Update: Unfortunately -- or fortunately -- the success of God's Thunderbolt: The Vigilantes of Montana in winning the 2009 Spur Award for Best First Novel from the Western Writers of America has put the "Postcard Stories" considerably behind schedule. They're not off the radar, though.
I've inherited many postcards from the early 20th century (World War II and before), some of which were sent to relatives long dead. Reading between the spaces in what was not said has captured my imagination.
Until I can finish the stories, here is a sample of some of the postcards. Click on the thumbnail images to the right if you want to see more than I've put on this page.
Uncle Albert received this from older brother Selmer in 1910 to let Albert know that Selmer was engaged. It reads, "This will come to you and tell you some news. Your brother, Selmer."
