Like the Red Butterfly postcard, this one, also mailed in 1907, sends an imperishable bouguet. These roses were sent to a young girl for her 8th grade graduation. In those days, when many young people had to go out to work, especially in the labor-intensive farming, to graduate from the eighth grade was a special milestone we can hardly appreciate these days.
